We had a great time at the National Multicultural Festival, including winning the best community stall award! Bumper crowds rolled up to the Royal Canberra Show in February to learn about the animals they love. It was spectacular to see so many in our community contribute $6,500 to The Orangutan Project.

This fabulous result has been supported by our highly successful trash and treasure stalls at Jamison and Fyshwick. Our dedicated volunteers get up bright and early to setup and constantly raise about $600 at every stall. Please contact me if you have items you would like to donate or would like to get involved as a volunteer. Our volunteers are an amazing group of people who devote whatever time they can to a variety of fund raising activities throughout the year. They are fully trained and supported by very experienced volunteers. If you are interested to become an active volunteer or you have registered as a volunteer and want to get active, please contact me for further information. Two of our volunteers (at own cost) will be heading off to Sumatra in May to witness firsthand how The Orangutan Project is making a difference to orangutan’s survival. Visit Lynn Bloomfield’s fundraising page and hear about her upcoming adventure at www.justgiving.com/lynn-btpmay16. Congratulations to Angela from Gungahlin who won our raffle hamper! Planning is well under way for our popular upcoming trivia night. Details about venue and tickets will be available on the TOP website.
