This Internet Privacy Policy governs the manner in which your personal information, obtained through this website, will be dealt with. We welcome your comments and feedback.

This website is owned and operated by the The Orangutan Project (TOP) and TOP will be referred to as "we", "our" and "us" in this Internet Privacy Policy. By using this site, you agree to the Internet Privacy Policy of this website ("the website"), which is set out on this website page.

Personal Information
We recognise the importance of protecting the privacy of information collected about visitors to our website, in particular information that is capable of identifying an individual ("personal information"). Personal information about visitors to our site is collected only when knowingly and voluntarily submitted by them. For example, we may need to collect such information to provide you with goods from our online store or to answer or forward any requests or enquiries. Any such data is securely stored in our online database and can only be accessed using a username and password by authorised TOP staff and volunteers.

Credit Card details
Credit card details, including card numbers and expiry dates provided through our secure shopping site in connection with adoptions, donations, memberships and/or merchandise, cannot be viewed or accessed by TOP volunteers or staff. Credit card details provided via telephone or in writing are treated confidentially and are entered into TOP's secure shopping site by the TOP Administrator, who then shreds documentation once it has been successfully processed.

Website statistics
From time to time, TOP collects and analyses aggregated website log files but this analysis does not permit us to identify details about individual visitors to our site.
