South Australia

DESPERATELY SEEKING ENTHUSIASTIC, MOTIVATED STATE REPRESENTATIVE AND FEARLESS LEADER…

As you may have seen we are so sad to announce that our fearless State Representative for the past five years Jodie Ellen is handing in her folders and stepping down from the role. Lucky for us Jodie is still going to be a big part of the South Australian TOP team, now choosing to focus more on getting the younger generation inspired to make a difference through school talks. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jodie for all her hard work over the years. You are truly an inspiring individual and I know your relationship with The Orangutan Project is still far from over.

Looking forward we are still searching for that organised, motivated and passionate individual who would be willing to take the reins and lead this amazing group of volunteers forward in our fundraising efforts. You can find more information on this position when you look up vacancies on this website. This is a BIG position but what I can say as the current Acting State Representative is that we have an excellent team and I know support is never too far away.
State Representative role seem a little too much? You will notice under our vacancies that we are also looking for a merchandise coordinator. Maybe this is a better fit for you? Again you can find more information about this position here
However if you do have any extra questions about either one of these position please email myself and Jodie at sa@orangutan.org.au

Still not convinced? Then just come and join us for our monthly meeting and get involved as a volunteer. We have such a wonderful, diverse group of volunteers from many different backgrounds. There are so many different ways people can get involved. We meet on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 6pm at Adelaide South West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street, Adelaide.

The next thing on our agenda in our monthly meeting will be our stall at the Royal Adelaide Show this year. There are some great new ideas this year to get people over to our stall and talking about The Orangutan Project. I would like to thank Anne Clarke and Lana Morro for your innovative and fresh ideas so far for this year’s show.

Hope to see some more new faces and the more seasoned ones at the next meeting, until then I wish everyone a great month!

Cheers, Amy Nelson - SA Acting State Representative
