Over 150 Sumatran orangutans have been released into the jungles of BTP

TOP is calling on all of our supporters to donate to our appeal to raise funds for the Sumatran Orangutan release site

Imagine a life of darkness. A life filled with cruelty and despair. A life spent in a cage with barely enough room to stand up and never seeing the sky. For so many orangutans that are held as illegal pets this is the life they face on a daily basis. It’s not much of a life at all.

Now imagine a life of lush greenery. A life filled with choice and opportunity. A life spent eating forest fruits and having an afternoon siesta before the afternoon rain sets in. Now that’s the kind of life that every orangutan deserves!

TOP is calling on all of our supporters to donate to our appeal to raise funds for the Sumatran Orangutan release site that we support in the Bukit Tigapuluh (BTP) ecosystem. Over 150 Sumatran orangutans have been released into the jungles of BTP to live wild and free as all orangutans should.

Ex-captive orangutans need to undergo extensive care and rehabilitation before they are ready for release. TOP wants to raise AU $25,000.00
(US $23,132.75) to assist with the operational costs of running the release site. Expenses include food and vet care, as well as staff to care for the orangutans and take them to jungle school classes to prepare for release into the wild.

This is where you can help! Every donation helps gorgeous orangutans like Mopi here return to their true jungle home, leaving their stolen life behind.

Thank you for your support.
