Sidney was named after the city in Australia. He is about six years old and loves, loves, loves the forest! He spends all day in the trees and won't even come down for a mid-afternoon snack. He is very independent and often climbs high and far. This indicates Sidney's progress and the fact that he will be ready for release as soon as he is old enough and there is forest for him.
Sidney is always on the move and is rarely in one place for more than a few seconds. He is very close with his best friend Roy. Sydney is a better climber than Roy and helps his friend build confidence in the forest. Roy loves Sidney so much that he often shares his own fruit with Sydney. According to Sydney, the next best thing to playing in the forest is playing with mud! It is currently the dry season in Kalimantan so Sydney must dig holes in the forest floor to reach the moist soil. He then does somersaults and headstands in his mud hole, covering his head and face with wet mud. As you can see in this new photo of him.
Sidney is currently 40pounds (18kilograms) and growing every day. Sidney has the best forest skills out of all his friends and is well on his way to returning to the forest to become free and wild
