In the south of the State, a Merchandise stall was held at Salamanca Markets in November, probably our most successful one yet, with 5 orangutan adoptions as Christmas presents, raising a total of $1,200.

Rebecca Edwards had a second hand stall at the end of November and donated $127 to the orangutan cause - thank you Rebecca!

Our last stall for the year was held at the Hobart Showgrounds selling second hand goods. An amount of $990 was raised. Included in this amount were tin donations from Aproneers, Eumurrah and Jess Rettig, thank you all so much for agreeing to have our tins. Also thank you to Ashi Edwards, Gaynor Ross and Robin Dobson for donating items for our stall.

In Launceston, stalls were held in the Mall on Saturday 22 November and Saturday 6 December. While the last Saturday was disappointingly quiet, we still managed to raise over $300. Thank you to all who supported us and to our dedicated volunteers Glennis, Lisa and Kathy.

Linda will be stepping down as Northern Co-ordinator in March 2015 and will be greatly missed. We are currently looking for someone to take over the duties of Northern Co-ordinator.

Thank you to all our volunteers and supporters for another great year of fundraising and spreading the word about the plight of the orangutan. Merry Christmas to all and best wishes for 2015.
