Another successful second hand stall held at the Hobart Showgrounds.

Thanks to all who donate goods to us regularly so we can hold these stalls, we raised $428, mostly consisting of $1 and $2 buys, so that's a lot of stuff we sold. Thanks to Tina and Carol Plachta for helping out on the day.

World Animal Day spent at the beautiful Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens (RTBG) on Saturday 4 October. After a very overcast and cold start, the sun came out and we hit 23 degrees - a Tassie heatwave! Day 1 of the Spring Festival netted over $700 for the orangutan cause, plus an additional $130 from our donation tin a Eumarrah store in Hobart. Thanks to volunteers Rebecca Edwards and Julia and Ursula Woods.  Sadly due to bad weather that evening and into the next day, our Sunday stall had to be cancelled.

On 20-21 September, the wonderful Rettig family of Howden again held a mega garage sale to raise money for 4 wonderful charities, including The Orangutan Project.  We were the lucky recipients of $400.  Many thanks to all those who donated items that make this garage sale truly mega every year.  So much time is spent by Kim Rettig organising this event and we are so thankful to be included each year.
